Description: Parcels that are eligible for OSP credit based on their current land use. Criteria used included: Currently Zoned for Open Space, Conservation tax credit properties, restoration/mitigation projects, Conservation easement or land trusts, Parks and Golf Courses, School Athletic Yards, Cemeteries, and Community Owned Vacant Land. All existing impervious surfaces within those are removed from the eligible OSP area.

NOTE: Parcels on vacant land are ONLY eligible if they are undeveloped, are not used as storage, and will be left as open space for at least 5 years. Local expertise is recommended to varify if the vacant land parcels identified by this app meet these qualifications prior to applying for OSP points.
Description: These data are the most recent (2018) parcel data for Horry County, SC modified to include the Nature Conservancy's data schema and to include attributes from protected lands in the county.

Description: The estuarine regulatory setback area that is eligible for OSP. Per CAMA regulations, 'new' development is prohibited within the following setback buffer measured from the Mean High Water line: 30 ft for navigable waterways, 75 ft for estuarine shoreline, and 575 ft for outstanding water resources. All existing impervious surfaces as well as areas within the setback that already qualify for OSP based on land use are removed.
Description: NFOS1 provides additional credit for parcels that are already eligible for OSP credit AND the area is preserved in or restored to its natural state. Parcels credited for NFOS1 that are also designated as critical habitat for threatened or endangered species or species of concern are eligible for 50 additional points
for the NFOS3 activity. Restoration and conservation projects on OSP eligible land were also credited for NFOS1. To determine areas that qualify for NFOS3, Natural Heritage data were used to determine NFOS1 eligible areas that also overlapped known occurances of specides designated by the state as endangered, threatened, or of special concern.

Description: The first line of stable natural vegetation from which the oceanside regulatory construction setback is measured. This line was digitized from 2014 aerial imagery and only applies to shorelines that are eligible for OSP credit (all federally reguatled areas removed).
Description: The area excluded from Open Space Preservation Calculations. Per the CRS manual, this area excludes all Federal Lands > 10 ac, open waters > 10 ac,
rivers with average bank-to-bank width >500 ft, and all areas outside of FEMA's 100 yr floodplain.
Description: This dataset shows the extent of the areas eligible for consideration of Open Space Preservation credits based criteria outlined in the CRS manual. Areas excluded are: all Federal Lands > 10 ac, open waters > 10 ac,
rivers with average bank-to-bank width >500 ft, and all areas outside of FEMA's 100 yr floodplain.
Description: For a community to recieve points for CEOS, they must map their "Coastal Erosion Hazard Area." The CRS manual states that this area must estimate where the oceansdie setback may be in 30 years due to coastal erosion. The current setback facotrs (based on 30 years of measured historical erosion data) were doubled to provide a course estimation of where the oceanside setback may be 30 years into the future due to coastal erosion. This dataset is strictly used for communicating potential risks and is not used in the calculation of CEOS points. CEOS points are based on the current setback area.
