Description: Location and extent of tidal marshes compiled from <a href="http://www.ccrm.vims.edu/" target='_blank'>VIMS Center for Coastal Resources Management</a>. Specifically, these data are from the <a href="http://ccrm.vims.edu/gis_data_maps/static_maps/gis/tmi.html" target='_blank'>Tidal Marsh Inventory</a>. Data for Northampton County were updated in 2011 based on high resolution aerial imagery. Accomack County data are of an older vintage. Separate metadata documents are available for<a href='xml/VA_Accomack_tidal_marshes_metadata.txt' target='_blank'> Accomack County </a>and <a href='xml/VA_Northampton_tidal_marshes_metadata.htm' target='_blank'>Northampton County</a>.
